    • Sponsorship enables continued education and leads to employment and long-term independence

    • Uniform and shoes that fit.

    • Any essential items, including stationary and text books.

    • Transport to and from school.

    • A case worker who organises home visits, health care and counselling when required.

    • Communication from the WkW team to parents.

    • Full access to the holiday programs.

    • For those in boarding school: they are provided with a mattress, manchester, sanitary items and toiletries. They have access to toilets and electricity so they can study at night.

POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION & OPPORTUNITIES

Students who complete secondary school have a waiting period of up to 9 months before they are offered a tertiary placement.

University education is costly, and government assistance is extremely limited but with the steadfast support of sponsors, many of our students have pursued or are currently undertaking a variety of courses, from short certificates to diplomas and degrees.

We are incredibly proud of the numerous students who have graduated with university and tertiary qualifications. It opens their eyes to a brighter future of self determination.

SPONSOR TESTIMONIALS

Peter Toms

I am honoured to share my experience as a proud supporter of Women for Women in Africa (WFWIA) and to express the deep trust, admiration, and gratitude I have for this extraordinary charity.

From the moment I became involved, I was struck by WFWIA’s unwavering commitment to empowering and transforming the lives of women and children in Nairobi’s Kibera community. Their holistic approach—focusing on education, health, and economic empowerment—doesn’t just provide short-term relief; it creates lasting change.

Sponsoring a child through WFWIA has been an incredibly meaningful experience not only for myself but also for my family. Knowing that my support directly contributes to a young person’s education and future opportunities is deeply rewarding. I have full confidence in the integrity of the organisation, knowing that every dollar is making a tangible difference where it is needed most.

Beyond the direct impact on individuals, WFWIA fosters a sense of connection and shared purpose. The updates, stories, and communication from the team reinforce the real change being made—not just for those receiving support but also for those of us who contribute, knowing we are part of something truly impactful.

I wholeheartedly encourage any organisation considering funding or support to do so with confidence. WFWIA is a trustworthy, well-run, and high-impact organisation, and I am proud to stand behind their mission.

With gratitude,
